Who am I ?

My name is Sven Hoffmann Albon and i'm an 25 years old independent basketball scout based in Germany with a primary focus on Germany and Europe.

My journey in basketball began as a player. Since I played, i have always been interested in player roles and talent identification. As i got older and entered a new stage of my life, my focus naturally shifted towards scouting. Rather than chasing my own career as a player, i found a passion for evaluating talent, tracking player development and helping identify potential. I started scouting in September 2025. Alongside my full-time professional work in the industrial sector, i'm actively building my path in basketball scouting.

Today i enjoy evaluating players, identifying long-term potential and continuously developing my knowledge of the game.

About Me

I continuously develop my scouting experience through working with basketball academies, semi-professional clubs, high schools, prep-schools and player agencies across europe and the US.

By attending showcases, camps, training sessions and scouting events, i gain valuable insights into different player development environments, coaching philosophies and recruiting processes. These experieneces allow me to expand my basketball network while continuously improving my player evaluation and talent identification skills.

My focus has always been on building long-term relationships, gaining practical experience and becoming a better scout every day.

Through live scouting, video scouting, long-term player tracking and the continuous development of my scouting database, i strive to provide objective evaluations and identify players with long-term potential.

My long-term goal is to contribute full-time to a professional basketball organization, where i can continue learning, growing and helping clubs identify the right talent.
